The film and television industry is one of the most influential aspects of our society. The rising focus on Hollywood celebrity and gossip can sometimes overshadow the amazing work available to audiences today, especially with the increasing availability of content libraries on a host of streaming platforms. While film and television is a collaborative art, it’s time for a closer look at why some of our favorite performances resonate, inspire, and move us. From big and broad to small and subtle, funny or dramatic, old or new, celebrate them.

Can I write/contribute?

We would love it! We are currently looking for contributors. Please reach out to host@favoriteperformances.com and let us know your experience and interest.

Are you paying?

Not yet. We want to avoid anything site which abuses spam or will clutter the platform. We are currently working on volunteer basis only but will share our resources.

What kind of articles are you looking for?

Reviews and interviews will be regularly featured (and we want your contributions). In addition to research/editorial articles on performance, actors, and the industry? If you attend an special event or speaking engagement we would love coverage. We are looking for a mix of writers, including those within the industry, academics, and actors.

Can I pitch a story?

Yes, within reason. We do not accept paid coverage or endorsements but if there is an upcoming film, TV show, or performance we will consider reviews, interviews, or stories when possible.

Do you cover live performances?

We would love to…but live performances are extremely difficult to cover due to nightly differences, physical limitations, and costs. We will certainly consider offers but currently we are limiting our work to film, television, and other forms of permanent content.
